BARNES MONTESSORI NURSERY CELEBRATES ITS SUCCESSFUL ACCREDITATION BY THE MONTESSORI EVALUATION AND ACCREDITATION BOARD (MEAB) AT ITS LONDON AWARDS EVENT
The Barnes Montessori Nursery celebrates its successful accreditation by the Montessori Evaluation and Accreditation Board (MEAB) at its London Awards event.
On Wednesday, 5th December 2018 the Barnes Montessori nursery was awarded its third accreditation certificate by Leonor Stjepic, Chief Executive Officer of the Montessori St Nicholas Charity. Staff members, who could, attended the ceremony.
Launched in 2008, with the assistance of the British Accreditation Council and Independent Schools Inspectorate, MEAB is a world leader in Montessori accreditation. The MEAB Awards are an acknowledgement of settings’ achievements in identifying and delivering Montessori best practice for the children they care for. This is the third time in succession that the Barnes Montessori Nursery has received the award and means our setting is now accredited for the next five years.
This robust process is very well worthwhile and enables us, as a team, to further reflect on our daily practice. “I would like to thank the children and, of course, the staff for their continuing dedication, commitment to improvement and belief in the Montessori approach to learning and development. They believe in giving the children in our care the very best whilst understanding the value and importance of the wonderful legacy Maria Montessori left – independence, respect, trust and freedom ‘to be’. They value each and every individual child”
(Anne-Marie True – Principal).
